Birchwood Apartment​

This project is located in the heart of Balmain, on Darling Street in Sydney's inner west. This harbourside enclave is home to an eclectic and diverse range of people that make up the local community. Birchwood is a new residential apartment complex built on an existing empty block of land. The building will be five levels, with a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, designed to appeal to a broad demographic of singles and young families. The brief requires a functionally designed floor plate, that can accommodate 5 apartments on each level.The concept is to use neutral and bright colours that is combined with a palette of light coloured pinewood flooring, ceilings, and customised furniture that give a zen atmosphere to the space while also enhancing the generous amount of natural light.
